Our history
The foundations of our company were laid over 70 years ago. Evatec know how today comes from the experience gained under the brand names of Balzers, Unaxis and Oerlikon systems which was acquired by Evatec in 2015. In 2022 we celebrated the 1000th system delivered under the Evatec brand name since our foundation in 2004.
Long term partnership is key to success ,working togther with customers, and R & D consortia to develop the best platforms and processes. As a company we invest >12% of our revenues in R&D. Our Competence laboratory in Truebbach is at the heart of our deveolopment activities.

ECL Metrology Capabilities
Depositing and etching thin films in our laboratory is only half of the story. Within the lab we also have access to over 40 characterisation techniques for rapid assesment and optimisation of processes.
